I already had the idea, seeing some kids use a shopping cart to push their surfboards to the beach instead of carrying them. Smart and poignant. The tricky part came when, in my grant proposal, I said that this would be a big painting. I have never worked huge before. Between tracking down the raw canvas, figuring out where to paint it and then leaving it to the last minute before the show I set myself up for an adventure. Adventures take a shift in perspective and expectations.

I believe this painting is rolled up in the garage at the moment, if there are any takers for large unstretched painting.
